A mix of everything we love, thrown into the wok. Stories, art, history. Family, friends, community. Sinners, saints. Locals, foreigners. We love and embrace all individuality. We look forward to sharing the stories of the people and places that have influenced us along the way while maintaining an open mind to whatever lies ahead...

Hanalei has always been a gathering place. Attracting all walks of life to celebrate and enjoy the island lifestyle while bringing community together. It was only natural that Ryan Hakman and Ke'ale Chung were sparked with the idea of 'Ohanalei in this crescent bay town back in 2013. Starting out with a warehouse to simply cultivate and entice creativity, 'Ohanalei has grown along the way while remaining true to its' core.

After a few floods and personal storms, the warehouse doors closed, paving the way for Ryan to open Studio Hanalei in early 2019. Featuring local artists and artifacts, Studio Hanalei quickly outgrew its space and Ryan and Ke'ale reunited to open the current 'Ohanalei location in 2020.  A reflection of the authentic Hanalei Bay Town, 'Ohanalei continues to promote originality while bringing community together.
